On February 23, 2021, a meeting was held in the Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, where we were received by the Secretary Mr. Cedomir Bozic, Assistant Mr. Mladen Petres and Mr. Darko Milankovic Undersecretary in the Secretariat for Regional Cooperation APV. Rajko Marinković and Dejan Gluvačević were present in front of the Danube 1245 association.
The topic of the meeting is the agreement on the inclusion of the Secretariat in the III event of the European project EFYRA (European Future of Youth in Rural Areas) within the program “Europe for Citizens” which will be held in Sremski Karlovci, September 2021, where Danube 1245 is a project partner. Foreign participants are foreign LAG organizations – project partners from 7 countries: Croatia, Italy, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia.
It is an opportunity to include local participants: Network of LAGs of Serbia (members are currently 8 LAGs / partnerships for rural development from Vojvodina: Kula-Vrbas, Sombor-Apatin, Subotica-Kanjiza, Sremski Karlovci-Kovilj, Opovo-Zrenjanin, Zrenjanin-Banatski Despotovac-Secanj, Beocin-Sid-Backa Palanka and Bac-Backi Petrovac-Backa Palanka). In addition to Vojvodina, we will invite other LAG organizations from Serbia.
Bearing in mind that the Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry in 2016 supported the event “Rural Voice” which brings together all LAG organizations, it is an opportunity to use the presence of international LAG organizations and involve our organizations through a new event “Rural Voice” supported by the Secretariat for agriculture, water management and forestry. The event would enable the connection of Vojvodina and Serbian LAGs with foreign LAGs, exchange of information and experiences in the direction of achieving international cooperation (signing of the Memorandum of International Cooperation) and cover current topics in rural development. We also expect the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
After the exchange of information, we agreed that the Secretariat will take part in the EFYRA project, at the event in Sremski Karlovci and will support the organization of the event “Rural Voice”.
