We responded to the invitation of the host, the Gavrilović family, to be guests at a tea party in Šoma’s lagoon.

The kind hosts showed us the lagoon with the original museum display of objects that were used for at least 2 centuries in the house of the Janković family, which gave the people of Karlovac one mayor for 25 years in the 19th century.

Along the way, we settled comfortably into the salon of the family house and the journey into the past began with a review of old family photographs dating back to the first years of the 20th century.

We drank tea and ate cakes according to recipes from that time, we tasted the host’s wine, the atmosphere was intended for all the senses.

Two hours were quickly passed, colored by strong feeling of nostalgia and joy in happy faces and clothes on people from another time, that has long gone.
