The BRAND project is funded by the EU, within the Erasmus+ Program, and gathers partners from 6 countries: Austria, Denmark, Greece, Malta, Poland and Serbia. Serbia is represented in this project by the citizens’ association “Danube 1245” from Sremski Karlovci.
The “Danube 1245” association, in cooperation with the Karlovci Grammar School, organized the Multiplier Event 2 of the BRAND project in Sremski Karlovci on June 20, 2024. for 46 first graders who participated in the workshop.
The goals of the multiplier event are aligned with the general goals of the BRAND project and with the desire of the “Danube 1245” association, a partner in this project, to influence as many participants as possible at the local and regional level.
The Multiplier Event aims to inform young people and youth workers about the concept of eco-fashion and to promote a set of ethical, ecological and sustainable attitudes towards the fashion industry. In addition, through this event, all digital tools and content created within the project were officially presented with the aim of raising awareness among young people about the negative impact of fast fashion on the environment.
Project result 1: ECO-FASHION Toolkit is an interactive set of theoretical and practical tools aimed at young people. The manual consists of two parts: “Be aware” and “Be Prepared”. The first part aims to explain what eco-fashion is and to promote an environmentally friendly way of living and shopping for clothes. The second part offers an educational basis for fostering a sustainable approach to clothing.
Project result 2: BRAND case studies are developed in an interactive way with elements of augmented reality. Sustainability Stories from the Fashion Industry function as a digital catalog that includes success stories of ethical and sustainably oriented ideas and initiatives that originated from the world of the slow fashion industry.
Project result 3: BRAND e-NFLUENCERS are digital role models that aim to encourage young people to develop sustainable and conscientious behavior with the aim of raising their awareness of the harmful effects of fast fashion on the environment.
Project result 4: The BRAND mobile application was designed to include two main tab-sectors. The first sector of the card provides access to the 5R library. (5Rs: reuse, reduce, recycle, repurpose, refuse). The library will introduce young people to the 5R hierarchy in an effort to influence them and shape their consumer profile in an environmentally friendly direction. Another tab section will give users the opportunity to learn more about materials and textiles, while the third will provide them with addresses of organizations that collect used clothing and textiles.
It is expected that the quality and attractiveness of these results will have a great impact on those who want to protect the environment or want to influence others to change their buying habits and attitude towards clothes.
