DiverCity Project Opening Event Held in Siatista, Greece

The opening event of the international project “DiverCity – Local Voices for Inclusive
Communities: Strengthening Diversity and Combating Discrimination in Southeastern
Europe” was held in Siatista, Greece on 11–12 March 2026. The event brought together
representatives of municipalities and civil society organizations from Greece, Slovenia, Italy,
Albania, Romania, Cyprus, and Serbia.
The meeting marked the start of project activities and focused on strengthening
cooperation between local communities in promoting diversity, combating discrimination,
and encouraging civic engagement. Participants discussed challenges and best practices in
Southeastern Europe through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and roundtable
sessions.
The project is coordinated by the Panhellenic Association of Electronic Business (PSICT) on
behalf of the Municipality of Siatista. Our organization, DANUBE 1245 from Serbia,
participates as one of the project partners, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and
the development of local initiatives that support inclusive communities.
