Project MIND, Naoussa, Greece

Dunav 1245 is a partner in the MIND project within the CERV TT program and on that occasion a bus was organized to transport participants from Serbia, where participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Italy were also present. The event was held May 17-19 in Naoussa, Greece.

The MIND event is structured around three complementary activities that combine knowledge exchange, participatory dialogue and cultural engagement, providing a holistic approach to cross-cultural mental health.

Cross-Cultural Conference on Mental Health: Participants participate in the conference “Bridging Cultures, Bridging Minds”, which introduces the MIND Twinning project and lays the conceptual foundations of the event. This activity focuses on the promotion of culturally inclusive mental health care through expert presentations and interactive discussions. Participants explore European initiatives, best practices and successful case studies reflecting on how town twinning can support mental health awareness and inclusivity.

Global Minds Debate Workshop: The second core activity is an interactive debate-based workshop that actively engages participants in a discussion of key challenges related to cross-cultural mental health. Through structured debates, participants examine topics such as the standardization of culturally sensitive practices, the role of cross-border cooperation, and the relationship between cultural awareness, equality, and social justice in mental health care. This activity promotes critical thinking, intercultural dialogue and civic participation, allowing participants to exchange perspectives and co-create solutions.

Mental Health Cultural Festival and Exhibition: The event culminates with a ‘Unity in Diversity’ cultural festival and exhibition, offering an experiential and community-oriented dimension. Through art, music, storytelling and gastronomy, participants explore how different cultures understand and promote mental well-being.

All participants are satisfied with their participation because the leading partner from Greece organized the event well and provided all participants with enviable hospitality, which made them all satisfied.
