At the Salaš “Stara Kudeljara” in Kula, a professional training was held for representatives of civil society organizations, local self-governments, as well as state bodies and institutions, with the aim of strengthening partnerships and improving cooperation at the local level.
The training was implemented as part of a project implemented by LAG “Srce Bačka” from Kula, in partnership with the organizations “Inter” from Belgrade and “IDA” from Kraljevo, with the financial support of the European Commission.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and skills necessary for more successful cooperation between the civil and public sectors. Through work in groups, interactive exercises and exchange of experiences, modern tools and models of joint action were presented, as well as examples of good practice that are already successfully applied in different environments. Special focus was on strengthening awareness of the importance of partnership relations between local authorities and civil society organizations.
The manager of LAG “Srce Bačka”, Bojan Kovač, pointed out that the aim of the training is to empower the association so that it can become active and relevant actors in the development of its communities.
Vesela Vlašković from the Institute for Territorial and Economic Development from Belgrade pointed out that this is a long-term initiative aimed at strengthening the role of citizens in development processes.
“The project was designed as a four-year initiative whose goal is to systematically improve the participation of citizens in local and regional development in Serbia. Funded by the European Commission, the project includes work with civil society organizations, but also with the public sector, through trainings, workshops, round tables, conferences and study visits. In this way, we enable the exchange of knowledge and familiarization with successful initiatives in Serbia, the region and throughout Europe,” said Vlašković.
The lecturer at the training was Vesna Avramović, who through the training pointed out the importance of an interactive approach and the exchange of experiences among the participants.
The training in Kula, gathering representatives of twenty organizations from the territory of Vojvodina, once again confirmed that sustainable local development is based on strong dialogue, cooperation and joint action of the civil and public sectors. Brankica Gavrilović participated on behalf of the Dunav 1245 organization.
