Citizens’ Association Dunav 1245 today, May 6, 2026, signed an Agreement on cooperation with the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Novi Sad, which officially established cooperation in the field of professional practice for students of the Department of Biology and Ecology.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the association by the president of the association, Rajko Marinković, and the cooperation aims to connect academic knowledge and practical work through the involvement of students in the organization’s activities and projects. As part of professional practice, students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through work on activities related to biology, ecology, nature protection, sustainable development, ecotourism, promotion of natural and cultural heritage, as well as the organization of educational and socially responsible projects in the local community.
A special focus of cooperation will be on the topics of environmental protection, preservation of biodiversity, development of sustainable tourism, promotion of the natural potential of Sremski Karlovac and Podunavlje, as well as the inclusion of young people in activities that contribute to the development of environmental awareness and active citizenship.
The agreement foresees mentoring work with students, the possibility of involvement in workshops, research, field activities and project tasks, as well as support for students in the realization of professional and research works in areas relevant to the work of the organization and study programs of the faculty.
By signing this agreement, Dunav 1245 continues to develop cooperation with educational institutions and contributes to the creation of better opportunities for young people through the connection of education, practical experience and work of importance for the community and environmental protection.
