On 24th and 25th of November 2018, citizens of Ludbreg visited Sremski Karlovci. Our guests were representatives of 7 associations (Wine producers Associations “Trsek” and “Vinska Cesta”, Women associations “Narcis” and “Women from the Center of the World”, “Council of Serbian Minority” and KUD “Anka Ospuh”, as well as representatives of Ludbreg Town. Visit was follow up of the Project “United in Culture in EU” implemented in September 2018 in Ludbreg Town where KUD “Anka Ospuh” was a lead partner and our association “Danube 1245” was involved as Project partner.
On Saturday, 24th the meeting was organized in municipal administrative building of Sremski Karlovci where Mr. Darko Milanovic, Manager of municipal Youth Office, received and greeted our dear guests in absence of Local Mayer. Representatives of Ludbreg were Mr. Antun Simic, President of Town’s Council, Ms. Anica Happ, Member of Town’s Council, Mr. Branko Kezman, President of 2 Winery Associations, Mr. Milan Mircetic, President of Serbian Minority Council and Mr. Aleksandar Horvat, President of KUD „Anka Ospuh“. In front of Association „Dunav 1245“, Mr. Rajko Marinkovic, President and Mr. Radovan Misic, Member of Board of Managers, participated in the work at the meeting. During the meeting was agreed which could be the next steps in terms of future municipal cooperation.
After the meeting, the hosts organised sightseeing tour in down town for dear guests and the evening was continued with wining and dining in cheering atmosphere at the pensioners’ club premises.
On Sunday, 25th November 2018, hosts organized various activities related to different profiles of our guests on several different locations in Sremski Karlovci. Winery associations visited “Bajilo” winery, part of guests participated in work on WISE Project Workshop under Europe for Citizens Programme. Joined visit to Kis winery, visit to Peace Chapel, meeting with Croatian minority in Sremski Karlovci, lunch for all participants, greetings and travel back to Ludbreg. New connections were made, new friendships were established.
