PROGRAM: a project within the project Platform for Responsible Public Financial Management implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and funded by the Government of Sweden with the support of the Municipality of Bac

Project name: Cult (R) ural – development, protection and promotion of the municipality of Bac

The project proposal is an integrative civic initiative whose general goal is to support the citizens of the municipality of Bac to get involved in the development processes of the local community while respecting the principles of inclusiveness, intersectoral cooperation, multidisciplinarity and transparent investment of public funds. Further elaboration of the project proposal defines 3 specific project goals:

1) Involvement of the citizens of Bač in the process of digitalization of protected cultural heritage in order to better promote and educate on the topic of responsible implementation of cultural heritage protection measures (construction of a platform for the promotion of cultural heritage and valorization of tourist potential)

2) The process of transferring experience and knowledge in the field of: Work of local action groups, IPARD programs in order to strengthen agriculture and rural development while respecting the principles of environmental protection (how to get the necessary funds for farmers)

3) Education and implementation of training as a form of support to representatives of civil society organizations working with marginalized groups in the context of more efficient use of publicly available financial and non-financial resources

Target groups are divided into three key areas: cultural heritage, rural development and environmental protection, and marginalized groups.

The project involves: 265 direct users, 1200 indirect users

50% women, 50% men

The project is expected to last a total of 8 months, from October 2020 to June 2021.

The total project budget is $ 24,567.00.
