“SEVEN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES – ONE IDENTITY” PROJECT: CITIZENS FORUM

The Citizens Forum was held as an activity under “Seven European Countries – One Identity” Project on 4th October 2022 in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia.

Forum gathered 15 citizens engaged in work on 2 plenary sessions and 2 round tables. List of attendance is attached to this report.

The 1st plenary session was used for provision of set of information to participants about the EFC Programme, purpose, goals and EU values promoted by this program. Also, citizens received information about changes in new programme period and new format CERV Programme was briefly presented to participants.

The second plenary session was an opportunity to present the project to participants, project’s main goal, specific objectives, planned activities and expected results.

Two roundtables were organized at the same time where all participants were divided in two equal groups.

The first roundtable was held on the future of the EU from the aspect of Euroscepticism. Citizens were invited to speak openly and state their stands, opinions and suggestions how they see the existing and which new EU policies should be set.

The second roundtable was held on subject of solidarity from the perspective of the migrant crisis. Citizens were invited to speak openly and state their stands, opinions and suggestions how they see new EU policies in terms of inclusion of various groups of migrants.

Group work on roundtables was moderated and results were shared at the final plenary session.
