LAST EVENT UNDER “SMUG” PROJECT, NOVI MAROF, CROATIA

A two-day event began on Friday, March 8 and was ended on Saturday, March 9, 2019 as the final official part under the project “Small municipalities against Euroscepticism – EU SMUG”. The event has gathered the most participants so far, 136 representatives of partners, members of LAG, volunteers and secondary school students who also, have participated in the event. The event was attended by all 15 project partners from 9 countries.

Sremski Karlovci were represented with 21 participants in total, 17 participants from Association “DUNAV 1245” and four representatives of Municipality of Sremski Karlovci.

On the first day of event, hosts organized a visit to the cultural property Trakošćan Castle, a medieval fortress dating back to the 14th century.

During the event, the conclusions regarding the topic of Euroscepticism in small municipalities were created and summarized together with activities from the Project.

The President of LAG PRIZAG, Mrs. Nevenka Benjak addressed all partners and thanked them for the efforts and work they invested in the project implementation, and especially thanked Miss Jasmina Bočkaj, the manager of the “EU SMUG” who led and coordinated all the activities on the Project.

On our way home we have visited the City of Varaždin.
