On 12th November 2017 the Introduction Conference of Small Municipalities Against Euroscepticism – SMUG Project was held in Novi Marof, Croatia. The Conference was organised by Lead Partner and our dear host, LAG PRIZAG. Novi Marof.
Beside Croatia, Project partners came from 8 EU and non EU countries,: Romania, Hungary, Latvia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia and Portugal.
Local Meyer of Novi Marof Municipality has opened the Conference and introduction presentations were done by Croatian representative in EU Parliament and representative from Zagreb University. Presentations have scanned Euroscepticism as new term and existing sign of EU crisis and live discussion longer than planned has shown the great significance of this topic and necessity to be raised.
Part of the Introduction Conference was sightseeing tour in the area which was finalised in the evening gathering all partners to Working Dinner organised in down town of Varazdin City.
The participants have been able to meet each other and establish closer connections in relaxed and simulative atmosphere while hosts did all what was necessary to make everything smooth and partners to feel welcome.
