On April 10, 2025, the first bilateral online meeting was held between the citizens’ association Dunav 1245 and the University of Florence, more precisely their laboratory team “Design for Spatial Relations Laboratory”, which is also the leading partner on the project proposal. The meeting represents the first step in the preparation of the joint Erasmus+ project “Urban Craft Hub”.
“Urban Craft Hub” is an ambitious and innovative project that redefines urban craftsmanship as a driving force of social inclusion, economic growth and preservation of cultural heritage. Through cross-border cooperation, the application of modern educational tools and initiatives driven by local communities, the goal of the project is to create sustainable career opportunities for artisans, while at the same time revitalizing urban spaces.
By actively involving local communities, educators and decision-makers, the Urban Craft Hub will have a long-term impact on Europe’s creative industries, making urban craft a key element of future urban development strategies.
